In the 2018 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, the University of South Australia ranked in the top 250 in the world. Our Nursing program ranked in the top 50 in the QS World Subject rankings, and our Art & Design, and Architecture & Built Environment programs again ranked in the QS World Subject Rankings top 100; quite an achievement for an institution having only recently celebrated its’ 25th birthday.
The Business School at the University of South Australia is one of only 174 schools worldwide to hold the prestigious European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation through the European Fund for Management development (EFMD).
Our research profile is equally impressive. The Excellence in Research for Australia 2015 evaluation showed that 97% of our assessed research is at world class or above, placing us at number 8 in Australia, and we are also in the top 10 Australian universities for the percentage of academics with a doctorate.
The University offers more than 200 degree programs that are designed in consultation with business and the professions and include fieldwork, placements, industry-guided simulations and business projects.
The University offers a large range of academic, personal and social support services to help students realise their potential. The University’s on-campus specialist pathway provider is the South Australian Institute of Business & Technology (SAIBT), offers diplomas leading into second year of most undergraduate degrees. SAIBT’s proven pathway ensures academic success across the four academic divisions: Business; Education, Arts and Social Sciences; Health Sciences; and Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment.
