Irish have a rich cultural heritage known for its history, literature, music, and vibrant traditions, yet it continues to evolve and embrace modern influences. It's a welcoming and vibrant place for international students to explore and enjoy. Irish culture is rich and diverse, characterized by traditional music featuring instruments like the fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhrán, with pub sessions being a common occurrence. Irish dance, including step dancing and céilí dancing, is vibrant, with Riverdance being a famous example that brought it to the global stage.

The country has produced many renowned writers, such as James Joyce, W.B. Yeats, and Samuel Beckett. St. Patrick's Day is the most famous festival, celebrated with parades, music, and wearing green, while other notable festivals include the Galway International Arts Festival and the Cork Jazz Festival. Although English is the primary language, Irish (Gaeilge) is also spoken, especially in the Gaeltacht regions. Did you know that the Irish are famous for their warm hospitality, often referred to as "Céad Míle Fáilte," which means "a hundred thousand welcomes" in Gaelic?
