It is the first time that “International University of the Year” has been a category in the prestigious awards, which are regarded as one of the most authoritative in the UK. This award recognises the rich heritage and internationalism of our staff, students and partners, which all supports us as one of the most successful global Universities. 
Internationalism is in our very DNA at Heriot-Watt. We continue to be a successful, globally-integrated University, proud of our 30,000 students who come from across 123 countries and our staff who represent the rich tapestry of culture across 85 countries.
This recognition comes in the wake of Heriot-Watt entering the Academic Ranking of World Universities for the first time in the summer and rising into the top 400 universities recognised worldwide in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
